Tonight, for one night, it will be a case of Member of Parliament for Stomas, as health reperesentatives meet for a pre-Christmas soiree at Edinburgh's Holyrood.

One such person giving voice to people with Stomas, Vanilla Blush CEO, Nicola Dames, will be mixing with politicians, health experts and interested parties at tonight's BHTA (British Healthcare Trades Associations) Garden Party at the Scottish Parliament.

Nicola said: "The Scotland Garden Lobby Reception party event will be a nice opportunity for some casual chat and some friendship making. It is usually in this relaxed atmosphere that good relationships and good information-sharing is at its best. Tonight is about celebrating the BHTA's centenary year and the great work and service they offer as a health care trade association.

"And it also has to be said, what better way to prepare for Christmas than with old friends, new friends and future friends."

Steve Perry, Marketing and Communications Manager for BHTA, said: "The Garden Lobby Reception is part of the British Healthcare Trades Association 100th Anniversary (1917-2017). The reception allows members of the Scottish BHTA section to show a wide range of innovative products that are helping to influence and deliver healthcare in Scotland.

"It is also a great opportunity for MSP's to engage with the companies working in their constituency and find out how they are bringing design and innovation to the healthcare markets for today and the future."
